Dye Rize CZR Review – Nitty Gritty

Last updated on October 15th, 2023

In this article, We will share our hands on Dye Rize CZR review. We will share our experience about it’s performance, stability and control in the paintball tournaments.

At a very first glance, you may find it as a simple colorful paintball gun. But it’s much more than that! Having several advanced controls that let you make decisive moves in the playground and improve your game.

Right after its launch, back in 2019, CZR gained popularity among the players due to its impeccable features such as firing modes, adjustable firing speed, and adaptable trigger. That’s when we made our decision to add another DYE marker to our bag for next NXL. We never regretted the decision.

To better understand how DYE CZR gives a leading edge in the paintball game, let’s explore its extensive features in-depth. Let’s talk about its performance, shot quality, advantages, disadvantages and FAQs.

 Rise Fusion BoltAir Efficient

One of the prominent feature of CZR is its Rise Fusion Bolt to give a smooth and consistent push to the paintball shots. This technology enables the gun to handle the paints at different velocities and reduces the chances of missing gunshots. The fusion bolt system is efficient and takes less air for each shot. Due to low air pressure, the kickback and recoil also reduce while using this marker.

The bolt maintenance is pretty easy, the bolt system would come out easily with just a big allen wrench. With the use of wrench just unscrew the bolt out, the back will slide out, and then you can easily disassemble the bolt to apply the greasing for the regular cleaning and maintenance. We used to apply grease to CZR’s bolt before every game. It doesn’t mean they require a lo of greasing, but just applying greasing regularly turned out to be really good.

 No more Broken Paint ?

Paint breaking before shooting the target ? Yep! We all have been there. Thanks to Rize CZR, No more broken paint! This model uses lower PSI than other models that’s why there is the least chance of splitting a ball even with fragile paints.

The 4th generation polycarbonate eye pipe protects the anti-chop system from broken paints and dirt. It has a self-cleaning system that monitors the ball drop and breech. The bolt O-ring tip wiped off the seamless pipe after every firing cycle.

Our analysis showed that the Rize CZR has lowered the number of broken paintballs throughout the game noticeably!

 Firing Modes

Unlike other markers, the CZR offers great flexibility to its operating modes to best match the player’s needs. There is an easy switch fixed on the body of the marker to choose the firing modes.

The gun has Semi-Auto, Burst, NXL ramp, and Full-Auto firing modes.  The player can switch easily between these modes to give a tough time to its opponents.

That’s not all! The marker gun has a customizable firing speed to adjust according to the firing mode. Our team players found it really helpful to make their own strategies and test the functionality of this paintball gun.

Trigger – Smooth & Customizable

Similar to the other high-end paintball gun, this model also has an adjustable trigger. The trigger is made up of Aluminum that is smooth and comfy to hold. Just in case, the aluminum trigger doesn’t work with you then it can be replaced with a different one.

The best part of CZR is that it gives flexibility in design for players to improve their game. Trigger controls the shot accuracy and shot timings on the intended target. A smooth trigger lets you press it easily without any strain on your hands and shoot right on the target.

However, a few paintball player on the field said that the trigger of CZR is delicate and difficult to adjust the fingers on it. It took them some time to finally get used to it.

Barrel

DYE has been long known for making some high quality barrels like ultralite and boom sticks.

The Rise CZR comes in a 2 piece 14-inches long barrel. The self-aligning two pc barrel is easy to attach and detach. The port tip and control bore is assembled at the center point. This precise combination of components delivers performance, accuracy and quiet shot.

Hyper Regulator

The purpose of the regulator is to give a precise increase to the air pressure. You can adjust the air pressure settings with a hyper regulator placed in CZR – a small, sleek and consistent one!

The hyper 3 regulator is responsible for the low-pressure 140 PSI action. It helps the marker to get the precise amount of air for every shot. The low PSI makes it very quiet. With this PSI, CZR can handle high end paint very easily. In addition to it, the paintball gun has an improved solenoid fixed with this system that offers consistent flow and reliability.
