First Strike T15 Review

Overview

In this article i share my hands on review of FS T15. So back in July 2021, a few of my fellow paintball players got FS T15. I was already using DYE Rize CZR at that time, and needed another marker for the next tournament. So I made up my mind to invest in the First Strike FS T15.

Realism is something that I personally prefer especially when it comes to paintball guns. Fortunately, the first strike FS T15 didn’t disappoint me. It is a true copy and feels like a real AR.

The marker has limitless customization options.  It works with multiple accessories including the Red dot, telescopic sights, and holographic and real steel parts to make it your own AR15 marker.

I upgraded the barrel to a rifled barrel that enhances its shooting accuracy. You can buy adapters to connect different barrels from brands.

Weight – Weight was not an issue for me, as i have a strong build that’s why I feel it lighter as compared to the M16. Maybe you found it a little heavier in weight. In that case, I recommend you do 20 pushups daily to carry this gun all around. No i am just kidding, you will get used to it pretty soon.

Accuracy – I found it highly accurate while shooting the first strike round. On the other hand, it noticed lacks accuracy when it comes to cheap round paintballs.  Still, it is pretty much better than other cheap paintball markers. To resolve this issue, make sure that you use some high-quality paintballs like the new World or Valken Graffiti.

Feedback from some paintball player showed that they face the issue of air leaks with this gun. But, this is not true in my case. I connected the air compressor and shot with this marker and there were NO LEAKS!! Make sure that you pull the charging handle back side.  Otherwise, the air might come out from the back.

The only problem I face is jamming and chopping off my paintball guns. However, After spending a few minutes on research I was able to get my problem solved. Make sure that the barrel bolt is fit properly. The magazines and metal clips should not be loose.  Over tightening can also cause paintballs to jam.

With these small changes, the next day I was able to strike 30 paintballs without any chop and jam!!! So! This was all about my personal experience, now I am going to get down to some technical features about this marker in detail.

Features:

  • 2 piece Aluminum Construction
  • AR-15 Rifle Design
  • 13/3000 PSITank
  • Compatible with both First Strike and .68 caliber
  • Riser for Flip-up Sights
  • 2-pin Strip Design
  • Magazine and Hopper fed
  • Functional Charging Handle

Technical Aspects

This model is a mag-fed First Strike paintball marker that takes .68 caliber paintballs only. The gun is a 1 to 1 replica of the AR-15 rifle.  This gun has almost everything that you need to start playing with a paintball gun.  If you never used the mag-fed gun, then this model is a perfect one to get started on your game.

From my analysis, I could say that there are three primary reasons why this mag-fed marker gained popularity in the market:

  • It has a realistic design approach to the AR-15. Many functionalities and dimensions of this gun are similar to AR.
  • Easy to customize
  • It’s a mag-fed gun

The first guy or sniper is going sit back, chill out and shoot from afar using this DMR gun, (Designated Marksman).

The Box!

It came in a carry case with a layer of custom cut foam for the paintball gun. It includes two magazines and a few tools. If you want to keep your gun safe, then I recommend you keep it inside the carry case. Mostly, people discard the carry case and regret it later.

The pack includes a manual as well that gives a quick analysis of the marker and how to maintain it. I found the carry case easy to cut and make room for the modified gun. There is a lot of space inside the box, you will be able to use it for a long time.

Barrel & Add-ons

The gun has a 12-inch lightweight front shroud and has a lot of Picatinny rails on the top.  The length of the barrel is 14 inches and a half, that is something I seek for the First Strike.

Unlike its competitors, another interesting feature that you get in this model is the Mock Suppressor by LAPCO.  It has the same threading as the one on the barrel. So, you can correlate it and some interesting visuals to your gun.

Firstly, I thought the purpose of a mock suppressor was just to to make it quiet. But when I got my hands over it it turned out to be adding more visual impact. And yeah! It really look cool once you install it.

Better Focus on Opponent

The gun is equipped with a riser. You can use a red dot or a magnified scope included with the gun.  The best part about the riser is that it can tilt up and down to focus on the opponent from miles away.  Right on the sides, there are knobs that help you to move it up and done.  A pretty cool concept for just under dollar 700.

The pack includes the two magazines and you can buy more if you need. Furthermore, it includes the rebuilt kit, full manual and almost every basic thing you need. The only thing that you need to purchase separately is the hopper adapter.

Pros

  • Lightweight Aluminum Body
  • Endless customization options
  • Riser for sighting the target more precisely
  • Deliver shot-after shot consistency & reliable
  • Very real looks

Cons

  • Not compatible;e with Autocroker barrels. You need to buy adapters.
  • Suitable for professional players
