Overview ( First impression – Performance)
Tippman Cronus is the darling marker of every Pro, who once was a beginner, and started with the the this marker. In this article, we are going to review tippmann cronus. So back in 2014, When we first got Cronus, it looked like a toy marker at the first look. But, we were deceived and it proved us wrong soon in the battle field. You feel comfortable while holding this marker and surely, improves your game.
It is a budget-friendly marker and has been specially designed for the newbies. This best gun under $150 offers high performance and the players who continue to use it, admire its credibility to the intermediate level. Better say, perfect for both intermediate and beginners.
It weighs 3.9 lbs only however, We found it to be a little bulky. If you play for hours it can bring some sort of pressure on your hands. On the other hand, the weight of the gun ensures durability and hardcore components.
Shoot quality – Our shot quality test showed that its easy to shoot with it with a little kickback. It offers stability and balance in the user’s hands due to its rubber grips. The Cronus can shoot up to 150 feet according to the manufacturer’s claim. However, we analysed that the range can be affected by environmental elements like humidity, wind or rain.
One thing that we must mention here is that you may face some issues while using it for the first time. The user will take time to understand its working mechanism, right position and accurate shooting settings.
Tippmann Cronus is the improved version of Tippmann 98. Tippman 98 has gained popularity due to its durability and affordability, that’s why you can find them available for rent in almost every paintball arena.
According to the critics’ reports, the Cronus is similar to the Tippmann 98 in terms of design and performance. The difference lies in merely its aesthetics! The later version of Cronus is Tactical Edition. Let’s jump into the details of our analysis.
Inline bolt system
A prominent feature of the Tippmann markers is its inline bolt system. The reason it is named in-line is due to its rear bolt and the main bolt being at the same angle. This alignment makes it more compact and easy to use.
The in-line bolt system also improves the grips of the marker as compared to the Tippmann 98. It will let you deliver quality shoots in the playground without sacrificing your performance. Apart from the gun accuracy, your shoot quality also depends on how you hold the gun towards the target.
Mechanical Trigger
Tippmann Cronus is a Mechanical marker along with a mechanical trigger. These types of trigger are compressed, and you’re physically moving two metal conductive pieces to push the paintball from the barrel through its rear bolt. Whereas, in electronic guns, the process is quite rapid and done by the electronic components.
Most Paintball fields allow mechanical markers so you may not face any sort of issue regarding restrictions on the type of marker you carry inside the field.
Wide Barrel
The company keeps the barrel size quite wide due to the fact that a wide barrel usually doesn’t chop off the paintballs. It will resolve the issue of breaking the balls inside the barrel. Apart from that, these features help you lowering the noise.
Some paintball player reported the issue of paintball chopping and missing shots, especially when they shoot consistently. In order to resolve this issue, it is recommended to use high-quality paint and keep the barrel clean for accuracy. You can use the motorized hopper as well to avoid the paint chopping.
Durable ?
Compared to the other entry-level markers, this gun has a robust design. It ensures the protection of internal components from damage.
Players are usually concerned that the shooting can cause damage to the internal components of the gun. Tippmann pays great attention to the ammo transfers from the body.
It is analysed that this paintball gun remains secured and protected from the inside at all times. This is the reason that it is durable as compared to the other models.
Customizable
We all want our bad boys to feel just perfect according to our gaming styles. The Tippmann Cronus allows the players to attach Picatinny rails on the sides, top and bottom. You can mount various accessories including red-dot sight, laser, scopes or more.
