Does paintball stain

Does paintball washout easily ? The short answer is “Yes“. Paintball these days are made of polyethylene glycol (slightly oily substance from petroleum) and food grade dyes whereas the outer shell of paintball is made of gelatin (used in medicine capsules). So the paintballs are easily washable as it’s not real paint.

However, some of the bright colors like Orange and Pink(common fill these days) are likely to stain. Some of them leave grease stains even after washout. But that varies according to brand and the field you’re playing at. Our suggestion, for any such bright colors, is to wash them as soon as possible.

No Matter what, Our suggestion is to wear less expensive darker clothes. Wear something that you don’t mind getting ruined. Make sure that you wear clothes that do not absorb paintballs easily, such as cotton shirts or loose fitting jeans. Wearing tight-fitting clothes will only increase your chances of getting hit by a paintball and ending up with a stain.

If you’re playing at a field where bright colors like orange and pink are used, and you’re by any chance wearing any expensive clothes and you do get hit, In that case, act quickly to remove the stain before it sets in. Use a clean cloth to blot the area and then apply a mild soap or detergent directly to the stain. You may need to repeat this process several times before the stain disappears completely.

If the stain does not come out after several attempts, you can try using a strong cleaning solution like bleach or ammonia. However, be sure to test the solution on an inconspicuous area of clothing first to make sure it will not damage the fabric.

Usually it’s not the paintball color but the grass and mud stains which are likely to stay for longer. Check more detailed discussion of washable paintball.
